5-1-2013 I can't believe it's been over a year since my last post. What a slacker - yeesh!! Ü All I can say is...get ready for Update-A-Palooza!!! I'm going to get caught up by posting all the photos from the last year or so first and will then go back and journal each entry later. Ü

Road Trip! Part II – Family

Even though we were only able to hang out in Utah a few days – Tim was starting a new work contract the following week – it was so great to see everyone.

We were in town for Halloween – one of my favorite holidays – and I had so much fun spending it with my family.  Andrew dressed up as a Viking for school (they don’t wear their “real” costumes.)  He’s definitely the cutest Viking I’ve ever seen.  And the nicest too since he even let his crazy aunt give that sweet cap a try Ü

My mom, dad & I spent a good part of Halloween day carving pumpkins – check ‘em out…sa-weet!  I spent a ridiculous amount of time on the BOO! but I hadn’t carved a pumpkin for a few years & had a blast doing it.

Picabo kept sneaking off down the street while we were setting them up on the front porch – little devil dog!  I finally grabbed her & put her back in the house while we finished up & took pics.  Mom & I were laughing pretty hard when I took this one ‘cause she’s throwing a fit behind the glass door – hehe!

THANKS Mom and Dad for indulging me! It was so fun hanging out with you two all day - talking, laughing, playing in pumpkin guts.  Now that is one awesome day Ü

I finally let the whiner come back out. She’s just waiting for her chance to make a break for it…

Pumpkins by candlelight….

Here’s some pics I took when we were at Tim’s sister Jamie’s house (I left my camera in the car at his sister Heidi’s house though - duh!).  Jamie made Gabby the cutest Glenda costume for Halloween.  When Gabby modeled it for us, Tim told her that aunt Tricia would have loved to have a crown like that when she was a little girl.  Aunt Tricia told them both she would love to have a crown like that NOW. Ü  Check it out – it’s pretty dang awesome.  Pretty cute husband & niece as well…

Gabby & Bay striking a pose while playing dress-up…

A couple pics with my two darling sister-in-laws - Lindsay & Jamie

Tim & Bill talking to Seth & Mel on skype

Linda & Linds posing for me

And here’s a cute one of J, Tim & Linda indulging me one more time

The weather was really beautiful while we were in town – not too cold even for us Texans – and we spent one afternoon playing in the leaves at Kel’s.

self-timer picture of us outside Kel’s…I’m surprised we’re all looking when it’s snapped – even the kids

I love this picture of Ele & Mom right after a leaf fight – not sure who won but they both look pretty happy

I miss these guys so dang much!

Later that night we went out to Jim & Candace’s for dinner.  Ally was suffering from the dreaded black-fingertip syndrome, but I helped her overcome it – yum! Ü

Ah, so cute!

The boys all together for the first time in about 7 years or so…

Ummm, some of us still have trouble using a spoon & fork Ü

Dad & Jim chillin’ after dinner

I asked them all to look and smile for this one…thanks Mom, I can always count on you.  And Kel, I don’t know who the heck you’re texting – all the important people are with you!  Ü Probably playing Brickbreaker

Canny & Jimbolina – at least they look & smile

I love Vanessa’s hair in this picture. She’s not a fan of the rubber bands her mean mom makes her wear in her hair and she’ll do whatever she can to get them out.

Rocky found a relatively safe place from all the moving feet – especially the small

We spent our last day in town hanging at Mom & Dad’s.  Here’s Mom, me & Baby V.  Vanessa doesn’t normally enjoy getting her picture taken so she must really love me. OK fine, her mother’s taking the picture so maybe she’s smiling for her – but I’m pretty sure its because of me Ü

Hello Ladies…

You look Mah-valous!

Picabo discovered kids have their uses – like leaving trails of crumbs or forgetting about their lid & straw to their juice cup

Wait a sec – who wants the straw when you can have the whole cup??

Tim grabbed her before she got more than a couple licks…here she is looking back at it longingly…

My mom took a few of us on their backyard swing. Thanks Mom! I really love this picture although one of us is definitely not happy to be in it.  The longing has turned into outright anger…I want that juice cup now!!

I sure do love this guy!

I’m so grateful for this visit with our families.  Whenever we get together, the days fly by much too quickly but we always make GREAT memories!  Can’t wait ‘til the next ones…
