5-1-2013 I can't believe it's been over a year since my last post. What a slacker - yeesh!! Ü All I can say is...get ready for Update-A-Palooza!!! I'm going to get caught up by posting all the photos from the last year or so first and will then go back and journal each entry later. Ü

Peek-a-boo with Picabo

Some days we walk Picabo up a street that takes us along the backyards of several houses. There are a handful of dogs behind some of those fences who would love to join us.  They run along the fence barking and trying to catch a glimpse of us through the fence slats.  Picabo will stop and put her face close to the fence, trying to see them as well.  And every once in a while, they find a pretty good hole to peer through.  It may be a missing fence slat like this guy's...

Or perhaps they get lucky and their gate is a bit warped like this guy's...

Although the warped gate is probably a disappointment for him since he used to be able to fit his entire head, part of his upper body, and at least one paw through this hole before his mean owners covered it up ☺...

Gotta love wood fences - pieces of crap!  But I digress...

As you can see, walking a small dog means you must be alert & always watch for potential, bigger-than-her dangers. The good news is whenever a stray dog or kid closes in, she is small enough to pick up and even lift over your head if needed. The bad news, well, guess who may be attacked then??!!

But the #1 reason you need to be alert as a small dog owner, especially a Min Pin owner, is that she can definitely hold her own and will try whether you want her to or not!  9 times out of 10 I pick her up to save someone or something from HER, not the other way around.

Here's our little Agent Provocateur doing what she does best...

You wanna piece of me?!!? Well do ya??!!

I wouldn't want those big dogs chasing me. I hope the boards remain in tact.
